Outstanding work on a huge project John. Your attention to detail on all 3 of these components is extraordinary. All together they are most impressive. Fantastic work.
Somehow those resin wheels look like a bigger scale - 1:24 maybe?
They’re definitely 1/35. Hmmm. Designed for the Willys versus the M151A1/2? Dunno, but going with the kit’s plastic for this build and sending the resin ones off to another member.
Mike
Highly impressive build there John. You put the work in, that’s for sure.
Excellent levels of finish and detail make this a superb result!
The grey wheels don’t appear to be the M151 rims, they look more like the older rims used on the WC series vehicles or White armored cars. Just my guess. Wayne
Magnificent build John. It has been a true joy watching this all come together. It will be one of the highlights of this group build for sure. Thanks for joining in.
Mike. Looking back at your start up pic, I see the resin wheels you have are for the WW2 era Willy’s MB Jeep, not the M151:
The standard Jeep tyres are smaller
Now they look very nice.
Outstanding work John. Really fantastic work, of details and fiddle parts.
I’m not a post war armour guy, but it looks super
Fabulous result
Many thanks to Bert @bwilt , D @Denimo , Gino @HeavyArty , Matt @SSGToms ,Gil @Armournovice , Alex @Youngun and Pete @petbat glad you all like it and also thanks for all the support all the way through the build
Yeah, that was brought up to me. I kinda feel silly about that. Regardless, thanks for the information! Good stuff!
Mike
How’d it feel to be in one of those boxes and accidently be airdropped?
Mike
Splendid job, mate!
And taking a look once again at the Bulgarian Panther on the shelf- priceless!!!
Angel
Thanks Angel, and also for the idea for the tarp on the spare wheel
'Let he who is without fault cast the first stone". I bought brass rounds for a German field gun once, only to find out they did not suit - they were for a very different gun.
Me too! Just realized I’d painted the Pod interior the wrong color.
Fixed now.
Insanity continues. I have built just over half of the skeleton frames and added the connector bolts. Tested a couple of links as well:
Keep having to tell myself, just a few more, you can do it!
All three rows of seats on a correctly-colored floor. Got some paint on the walls and roof.
I parked the unit’s floor on the trailer just for s and g.
The hobby room is still full of drying fans roaring away 24/7 but at least the plumber got the new frost-free faucet installed.
Hobby on!
Looking good D.
