@deerstalker36 - nice work on the “Quad” - my brother had a tractor like that… It was my dream to have a 25pdr for it to pull, never happened…

Did a bit more on the M916 today. Some weathering, made a data plate for the d/s door and fabbed the rope “thimble” for the end of the winch cable
Decanted some Tamiya TS80 to airbrush the overall model tomorrow.
I’ll be happy when my hobby room is back to normal………

This is now finished. Added a stowage rack on the to replace the missing spare wheel sprue. A bit of light weathering, some misappropriated cases of cognac and champagne

Very beautiful work on the Quad, and gun. Turned out very well and added details just enhance the overall looks.

Step one in weathering the wheels. Also scratched the locking-pin handle for the 5th wheel and topped the wheel with greasy gloss black. The front bumper is finished except for overpainting the “c” on the bridge plate in red, bumper codes are on.
More tomorrow.

The M916 LET is complete apart from brake and electrical lines and a matt coat on the 5th wheel. That’s got to sit and off gas for a few days.
I had fun with this part of the project. Despite having had surgery and several nights in hospital and my hobby room getting flooded I’ve kept plugging away at it since early August.
On to the M172A1 lowbed trailer today.
Keep on trucking!

Made a start on the M172A1. Working with 3D parts, I’ve learned that using a heat gun/small blower works really well for separating the supports from each piece (keeping the heat well away from the piece itself). Much easier than the previous “hot water” method. Trimmed each tire to its individual wheel, hence the lineup.

Thanks Peter, 7 weeks post-surgery tomorrow and recovery has gone smoothly. It’s also great to have my hobby room back. With the tractor near finished and only another hour or so to go on the trailer, it’s on to the CAT ‘dozer. Started the parts - washing process today and will spend my Friday session cleaning the supports from the kit pieces.
