Has anybody seen this kitted anywhere they were on the back of the RG31MK5Es that we ran in Afghanistan and they are made to store the talon robot so they could deploy it without
exposing the soldiers to enemy fire.

Hello - Kinetic makes the base kit in 1/35. It comes with a few parts not shown on this version, but does not include the bar armor or the big box on the back. The kit is pretty nice, but as I recall some of the parts are a bit soft in detail.
With some patience, you can scratch build the armor using metal rods and .020" styrene strip. Making the armor, and setting up the stand off brackets is a bit of a slow process but it can look pretty good if you take your time. There are some resin wheels out there too, and the box might not be that hard to make.

Ahh - yes - the benefits that come from reading the full post! Sorry about that. As for the box, I have not seen a kit with it. I’m not sure if you are interested in scratch building it. If I were trying to make it I’d start with the frame structure on the base, mounted to the bumper. The frame structure might work by starting with .020" sheet styrene cut into the triangle shapes shown in your picture. Then attach a plate for the base of the box to be place on.

Don’t worry I do this all the time and I’m not super excited to scratch build anything as I don’t think I’m good enough to pull it off.

Yeah, we had the super red necked ones with the open top design and the charge cable ran inside. I’m asking about this cuz the wife ordered me a talon robot, and I have the RG 31 in my que to build, and I want to add the talon to that build.
