How good are DML M113 kits?

I consider getting me DML Fitter/Chatap combo. How good are they in comparison with AFV Club, Tamiya or Academy?

I only bought one a long time back it was the flamethrower version and to be honest I wasnt impressed at all the hull itself had to be reshaped at the front I think it was an M114 hull and a cheap way of making the M113 for DML. I dont know if later kits were better but it ended up in the loft.

They are about on par with the old Tamiya ones. The hull is actually the same one they used for their M752 Lance Carrier. It is too long at the rear and Dragon has you cut the rear off to make an M113 hull. It is usable, but nowhere as good as an AFV Club or evan an Academy kit.

So far AFV Club has the best M113 with great details. Dragon M113 kits are not that good. Dragon M113 kits are better than Academy and Tamiya in some details.

Lower hull is from their M752 which needs some cutting and does not represent the correct details for M113.

Dragon M113 is best to be avoided, but if you find Fitters & Chata’p combo at a good price, go for it, You get a lot of stuff in that box.

My favorite plastic pusher has the combo for 73 Euros. I think I give it a try, thanks guys! How are the tracks? Indy links or link-and-length?

Guten Tag Hermann, I believe I don’t live too far from you and I’d be glad to buy those tracks from you so they don’t clutter up your workbench!

Unfortunatly, I don´t have the Dragon kits yet. But when I bought it, you be the first in the cue. BTW I live in Upper Franconia.
