How to mount 1/72nd scale aircraft on to bases

I would like to know after you have finished a model aircraft, how does one mount that particular plane onto a base so that it will not fall off while in transport or just being handled?

Might a little harder because of the scale but depending on the base material and wheel width, our club would drill a pin hole in the wheel and glue it to the base.

Another method is to secure the wheel chokes to the base, acts the same as in real life.

I do similar…drill a hole in the tire up to the wheel and pin it to the base. Some careful measuring down to a half-millimeter is required so that the pins in the tires match up with the holes in the base.
