I have the Meng kit I’d like to finish, in my series on Leopard 1s. When these were painted, was the camouflage scheme continued under the applique panels, or was it left the base color, & the pattern only applied to the panels? Thanks!

I would assume the camouflage only goes over the extra armour, not under it, because it wasn’t meant to be removed and (re)installed as part of normal operations.
