Hi everybody, I have in my hands the Revell 04144 hurricane IIC kit, in this profile

proposed by Revell the caption says "Hawker hurricane mk. IIC, no. 336 (Greek) squadron, desert air force, RAF, LG (landing ground) 8 Mersa Matruh, Egypt 1944. "
What is meant by landing group ?.

Landing Ground 8 (LG-008) in Mersa Matruh was one of the more than 250 airfields used by RAF across North Africa. It was one of the airfields 336 squadron operated from during its deployment in North Africa between February '43 - March '44.
