I haven’t given up, just been a bit busy. I’ve got the turret all done and ready to prime, still waiting on the Miniart dozer and holding off on the lower glacis details until that’s here. I also need to finish up the engine deck, but I had one of those bad ideas the other night and I’m thinking about opening up the two access hatches on the large cover plate. I would probably cut the hatches out of the plate and make a new plate with the necessary cutouts from stock.
Or not.
Anyway, pics so far. Lots of the turret bits are pinned on but not glued.

Turret hatches are pinned and operable. I will add figs at a later date.
Looking great Russ. Love the detailing ---- really looks the part
Finished the Meng Gal Batash. Very nice kit. Highly recommended. No issues that I can recall. If there were any they were self inflicted. Indy tracks easy enough to build once clean up of links is done. Clean up was tedious with 4 attachment points per link. Custom mixed Tamiya colors based on 1:1 buff:medium grey. Went light on the weathering, just a light dusting after a dark wash and pinwash. Thanks for looking.
Love the looks of it. Some exhaust shoot at the back and perhaps the .50 cal cables would be all that I would add.
Excellent
It is not, in my opinion, “Better than the Italeri kit.” Yet another misleading pronouncement.
You’ve done well to unf*** it.
Post deleted. Thought this was a different thread.
my merkava mk 4 lic is finished built out of box
left to join the other members of the merkava family
Very nice … I have that one as well. Will try and get it built for this campaign if possible.
Cool!
That mineroller is something else.
Something tells me you have a thing for Merkava’s.
I’ve been fiddling with the Verlinden blade assembly, just because I refuse to give up on it and the Miniart blade kit will be here tomorrow. Makes perfect sense, right?
Anyway, after a couple of hours and lots of scrutinizing poor pics, I got this far:

I had to replace a lot of the blade due to damage and warping. It’s all pinned at the hinges and pivots so I can set the height and angle once I get ready to mount it, if I do once I see the Miniart blade. Just posing, it looks plenty busy:

I have no pics at all of the lower glacis mounts, but I’m pretty sure the Miniart kit will something I can copy.
Nice work!
Be a shame not to use it after all that hard work … looks great
Oh, it’ll get used, if not here then somewhere…
The assembly and paint of my power wagon are finished. I’ve used the AK Interactive paint (3rd Gen and Real colors) and i’m totally hyped, this paint brand is awesome.
Frankly: a very fun kit to paint and assemble.
I decided to go ahead and use the Verlinden dozer assembly, mostly because I had it nearly done, and partly because the Miniart kit is a model all by itself. I’ll use it somewhere for sure, and it enabled me to add the missing details and questionable parts from the Verlinden blade. There were some differences, mainly large gussets that the Verlinden kit doesn’t have, maybe early and later versions? Anyway, I’ll be priming soon.

Primer soon.
On a side note: I was using shelf space right in front of my work area for subassemblies during this build, and I kept having to move semi-permanent residents of said shelf aside. Around about Wednesday, having moved the basic hull and turret of a Magach 6 build begun well over a year ago, I thought I’d piddle with it a bit. I’d also just gotten a set of R-Model T-97 tracks that I was curious about, and before I knew what hit me, I had two runs assembled, the engine deck mostly done and the fenders on. It’s going slow, mostly since it’s a parts-stash special but I have everything I need, just not all in the same place. It’s an AFV Club hull with the forward return rollers moved, With (so far) a mixture of Dragon, Takom, Tamiya and AFV Club detail parts. The Turret is DEF Model.

It was too far along to be a candidate for this Campaign, but I did get motivated to at least move it along rather than look at a basic hull every time I sat down to model.
Really nice work here!
Time for an update on the Tamiya 1/48 F-35I. Decals all finally on, no clearcoat yet. I just got the Mr. Paint Have Glass varnish, so we’ll soon see how that looks.
Michael
I have primered. It’s primed. Primer is on.

Funny thing (to me anyway): that pic looks like it’s got a pretty clean background, must be a reasonably clean work or photo area, right? Well, this is what it really looks like:

I just shove stuff aside, set up my folding cardboard backdrop and pretend like it’s all good.
