Bought a cheap airfix 1/48 p40 and set a challenge of getting the best results as possible over 3 evening’s. About 20/24 hours in total.

Simon,

That is an excellent execution of a great idea. And in just three days - awesome!

Most excellent work. Very creative. Not that 1/48 is my scale, but how did you do it? What inspired you?

@RedFive how did you get the landing gear to support the entire weight of the kit on that small base?
also what did you use for the smoke, cotton wool? and if so, how did you go about painting it?

Hi. Its a metal rod through the wheel and up the landing gear and then into the plane itself. I also used synthetic stuffing and lightly airbrushed it until I liked it.
