attempt at painting the stars needs work. This is a different take on the hellcat as it is a USnavy hellcat in the MTO/ETO with the MTO red nose markings like the RAF/USAAF
Coming along nice. What kit and scale is it?
Also, a minor suggestion, since this is a dark color scheme aircraft then try to photograph it with a lighter background as it will make for a better images and crop in as much as possible so the viewers eye goes right to the subject. Right now, all your detail within the subject is getting shadowed out.
Just for an example, I took couple off your pics and brightened and cropped them in to share what I was saying.
Just trying to help you out. Keep up the good work!!
Its a 1/48 hasagawa 10,000th hellcat kit. Yeah, I’m not the best photographer.
Thanks, sir.
It’s alright, we are all dealing with things in our and hopping to get better and help each other out.
Even if it is blown up, you can hardly distinguish the ignition wires from the jewelry wire. and when the cowl is over it nobody will see it.
True, however when I cropped it in I was able to see if your photo is in focus, sharper, and clear. It might not show all the detail because of the same colors but whatever you want to share can be better.
If not, then all it takes is another click on our camera or phone and have a better final result.
My wife has a fancy photo box with lights and all. When it’s done, I’ll break that out.
Smart wife. Keep her close
Looks nice. The carrier deck makes it look even better.
A really nice build and learned something new. Had no idea that the US Navy operated Hellcats in the Med. Will have to look into that.
Two squadrons of Hellcats were in late war during Dragoon VOF-1 VF-74, and several were during the Torch landings. Early war ops were delivering planes to Yalta with Wildcats/Martlets.
