First time posting one of my projects on here in over half a decade, but after seeing some of the awesome LAV builds on here lately, I decided to dive in and do my own. I’ve been eyeball deep in LAV stuff at work, so these two builds were a natural channel of my efforts.
The LAV-AD is the Trumpeter kit, the AT is Italeri. I fell into an early trap by not following my references, so instead of building the LAV-AT in our collection (on exhibit at the USMC Mech Museum), which is an early variant, I’m building a production model.
The AD is a little better, since it’s a vehicle that I’m already very familiar with from my time at the Air Defense Artillery Museum. That vehicle will be coming home to Quantico this year if all goes well.
I’ll update some pics of the build tonight, since both have now had some details painted and are looking more like real vehicles than just the base coat in this pic.
