I am in the process of building a 1/72-scale kit of the US Army’s M8 armoured car, and am wondering about the correct colour for the hull and turret interior. Evidently, the main colour would have been white, but certain sources suggest Olive Drab for the floor and turret interior. Any thoughts on this?

The OD in open areas such as the floor under and inside the turret was used. Areas that were/are open and could be seen were commonly OD so they don’t stand out as much. I have seen ones with the lower turret parts white still and the upper turret and floor OD as well.
A few examples.
Look down from directly above the turret. Anything you can see from directly above should be OD. The forward driver’s area under the roof should be white.
