Is 4BO Gr4een Still Used in Russia?

It seems to be, and I have a Meng Tigr kit, but I prefer to be sure of things before work on it.

‘Protective Green’ is the standard modern color- I believe AMMO and AK have it in their paint lines.

Thanks. I have the Vallejo color which I believe is accurate.

4BO was developed in 1937. Actually, 4BO is the pigment part of the 381t formula (a mixture of ocher - 73.75%, orange crown - 7.5% and green chromium oxide - 18.75%), erased on drying oil. I found a mention that the production of 4BO paint was discontinued in 1952. And in 1992, the standards of this paint were excluded from the assortment of the card index. That is, it is impossible to see it even now! Before it, the color “Protective” was used from the mid-1920s to the early 1930s. It was replaced by a fairly dark color 3B, which was used until 1938. These colors were also basic, that is, for painting any equipment.

In the Russian Armed Forces, PAL6003 paint has been used since the 2014 Victory Parade.

P.S. Good question! Now I know it myself.
