Is the Das Werk Panther A early/mid suitable for a 12th SS vehicle in Normandy?

Hi, all:
I know that the Panther battalion had both As and Gs, what I’m not certain about is were any of the As early or mid models? If anyone can tell me, or point me to a source I’d appreciate it.
