I bought 5 of these back when you could get them for $5 and still have 4 in my stash. Unless a new kit was REALLY outstanding I doubt I would replace them. They are definitely more work but the hull with the correct welds and casting marks and the excellent turret make it a keeper IMO. I could add a lot of aftermarket before I would be into the cost of a new kit at this point, plus I enjoy the building more than the painting process so I don’t mind a little extra work there

I definitely understand that.
Sometimes fixing a fixer upper is more rewarding as model building than state of the art building.
There’s an old Imperial Dragon x-Gunzy Pz IV G kit that’s always got a spot in my stash for the same sort of reasons.
