The external periscopes top is present for the turret & hull. They are molded in respectively with separate covers provided.
Shown in instructions and visible below.
Perfectly fine if the vehicle is buttoned up, still workable with open hatches if a figure is present. Zero issues with that in $25 new tooled well designed kit. However, the best part is it’s an easy quick build perfect for folks new to the hobby. Likewise a nearly ideal vehicle build for a diorama that isn’t focused on vehicle details.
BTW - The two of the three 1990’s era release Tamiya Panther G kits omitted the turret periscopes completely.
If you’re looking for the ultimate Panther G build, the Das Takom Werk’s SuperBlitz kit isn’t the best starting point. However, it doesn’t have to be the ultimate to be a well worthwhile kit.
This kit has a lot of ultimate potential but it missed the reinforced driver compartment roof armor that’s a defining characteristic of the non-early Panther G’s.
However, it might benefit from that spare Takom Late Panther G upper hull to address the missing detail of the
reinforced driver compartment roof armor.
The Takom Panther G’s also seem to have a very good reputation from what I’ve seen.
