Jagdpanther - Late Version

I’m hoping to give it a battle weary finish, so there will be some draped tarp on the decks (PVA tissue) and wire through the cam loops with possibly torn cam net and or remnants of small branches stuck under the wire :+1:

And potentially one badly painted figure in the open commanders hatch

Fantastic progress John and lovely detailing on those camo loops. Really turning out to be a top notch model. I vote for some branches under the wire.

Thanks mate, and the branches will be there !!

Nice work.

RT diorama has some nice 3d branches or you can use dried flowers in the wedding section.

That big seam on the barrel and on the muzzle brake are going to take some work to make disappear, or are you planning to replace with a metal barrel?

Thanks for that extra work Rick !!! …… joking aside, I had already noticed it ( how could you miss it lol) and I had begun working on it with layers of Mr Surfacer 500 and then gently sanding back … its not looking to bad with where it is at the moment …. another couple of sessions should nail it :+1:

Did a few more layers of Mr S 500 on the barrel and sanded back, then did a base primer coat of Halfords rattle can red primer

Seemed to come out ok, and any areas I missed or stand out, will be hidden with the cam wire around the barrel and some strategic cam net….

Tracks have also been base coated with a flat black.

Added the last few final parts.

The exhaust stacks with one of the suppressors on top missing and the rear bin hinges and hasps.

Hopefully get a base coat of green on later today :+1:

AK Olivgrun RC047 down as a base coat.

Really nice covering and good old AK RC gives that great hard coat that’s dry after about 15 minutes and easy to handle

All cam will be with AK RC , Rotbraun RC 068 and the Dunk dark yellow RC 060

Cam is now on….. over the Olivgrun I applied the thick strips of Dunk, and then masked the 2 thin outer edges on each strip and sprayed over the Rotbraun. Fairly happy with how it looks , overall shape is broken up nicely and the stripes have a good balance against the green.

There are a few little areas that bled through or had a bit of over spray, but should only take 5 minutes, then I can start the detail painting…… wheels have also been done, but were out of shot.

Beautiful airbrush work John. Your camo pattern is excellent. She looks mighty fine and mean.

Wheels and tracks fitted…

And added some remaining details namely the spare link securing pins and the Aber chain,G blanking plate and handles on the rear deck tool clamps.

Tracks and wheels ….

The Aber PE chain set…

Quite impressive really, and you get a fair bit in 3 different sizes.

Added bits.

One of my favorite WWII AFVs. I have the Meng G1 waiting in the wings. Gonna try a similar scheme.

Really like the look of yours.:+1::+1:

Thanks DV, appreciated. The scheme was out of my head …. nothing seen or official …:+1:

Got the wire onto the sides and readjusted the securing pin chains for a better look.

All the chain is now secured to the pins and locks ok. I have left a few just hanging down, and just need to re touch some paint areas and I have also added the wire to the barrel …..for the added cam…
