Need to try to get my mojo back and finally finish this conversion of the same Trumpeter kit to the New Zealand NZLAVIII i started in 2019

i even scratch built the wipers for the gunners sights

only got small bits like the pioneer tools some straps and the side mount plates for the vision blocks on the blast shields to do then some light weathering. I also corrected where i could some of the faults with the kit that are wrong

the main difference between the Canadian and NZ LAV is the upper main engine deck layout like the air intake and fan outlet

and apart from the LAV_R that is fitted with the ground anchor all NZLAV’s can be fitted with the LOB Light Obstacle Blade) as the front shackle rails have 3 connection points instead of just 2

@Bison126 Thank you Olivier, I am very happy with the finish.

@metalhead85 Thanks Richard, this one was a different challenge knowing it was going to be factory clean and I couldn’t hide my sins with weathering

@Armorsmith Thank you!

@Johnnych01 Thanks John, I am very happy with it!

@rockybravo Thank you!

@NZTankie Very neat, I hope some day someone comes out with a kit for the LAV specific engineering mounts. Sadly with the passing of Miroslav from RealModel I think we will see a drying up of LAV III conversion sets

It is a shock, I didn’t know that about Real Model founder.

Another great model brand which disappears.

It looks great.

Yes it is very sad to hear of his passing. He had quite a few unfinished LAV III conversions that I had hoped to see including the LAV III Infantry Section Carrier and E-LAV. His work was a god send for Canadian LAV builders

Beautiful my friend!! Great job! Wonderful piece to display!
