I am currently building a Leopard 1A2 (Belgian Army version) in 1/72 scale.
This will be incorporated in a live-firing ranges setting (mid 1980s). Would
the crew wear the CVC helmet as a matter of course, or could they feasibly
wear berets in such a scenario? I note that, on occasions, West German
tankers at this time also wore leather helmets (similar to the Soviet type).
Were these also worn by Belgian Army crew?
