M109 in IDF service reference

Yes, that is one of two prototype HIP (Howitzer Improvement Program) guns updated in conjunction w/the US to bring them up to M109A6 standards for the IDF. After the two prototypes, the IDF withdrew from the program and went w/the Doher upgrades themselves to get to basically M109A6 Paladin standards with their howitzers.

This pic shows our young gunner and the digital fire direction system on the Doher, the same or vary similar to what is in a US M109A6 Paladin.

Wow Niko, thank you so much for your contribution and to others.as well. Now, I have a good idea what is the difference and what kit is needed if I want to build the current variant.

Time to go shopping

Does the Rochev has anti slip attached? I saw a video where the cupola seems to have it.

The anti slip on artillery are welded aluminum square bars. Thereon the hull there have been some I’ve seen with the textured paint on the turret but it’s as far as I know not standard though it’s a good idea. Doesn’t take much effort to slip off

The short barrel M109s used in 1973 have the muzzle brake replaced by the one from the Sholtam 155mm.

Does anyone know of someone who does a 3D 1/35 rather than robbing a Rhino kit for one?

Contact novaee04. He has designed the muzzle brake to go on his L-33 kit. Maybe he’ll sell just that part.
