Just finished making the M113 AVLB conversion. Used a tamiya kit for the base and the hobbylink conversion. Couple of challenging times with the conversion kit but overall am happy with. Very few photos of this actual unit. Their is alot of guess work in running the hydraulic lines but am happy with it. Never intended to have a clean model, used alot of mig products but I was happy with the AK faded olive drab. Got alot of hints from a gentleman on Kit Summary. Had spare main rams so made a mount for them, grille mesh is from Mouse house.
Nicely done. Looks nice and a real used and hard worked wagon. Great guild and finish.
Not something I have ever seen before, it looks very good. Did you have to weight the hull at all as that’s a lot pf resin sitting on top?
Its not resin its 3D Printed so its lighter.
Ah there you go then, even better. It does look the dogs danglies though.
Glad to see someone’s build of HL’s bridge unit, nice 'n dirty! Curious about the decals, are they HL supplied or hand painted on the hull side?
Cajun
Excellent build. I love the dirt. Fantastic weathering!
Very nice. I really like Hobby Link products.
One point though, it is still resin, just 3D printed with UV curing resin as opposed to two-part poured resin in a mold.
Love the weathering and the build. it is a unique m113.
They are hl supplied. The stars are done with a stencil.
I gotta look in to getting one of these conversion kits. Well done.
Excellent ! I didn’t even know that this vehicle existed …
excellent build but I ’ d have used afv clubs ’ s m113 in such a unique build…
I saw a picture along time ago. When I found out hobbylink did the conversion, I had to do one.
Curious to know why you would use the afv club one.?
That looks great.
because it s much better detailed and more correct kit of m113 available at moment
