Here is my entry. It will be an M113 stationed in Germany in the 1980s, painted in MERDC Camouflage.
I already ordered new tracks.
Best regards
Lukas
I started my m113 adats I’m not a fan of resin kits the fit is not great for now I had to fill the space at the back. The parts of the kit are too short it will not be an easy build. Luckily I had won the kit and I found an M113 for $15 in an exhibition it gives me a not too expensive project
Since I finally finished the M67 Zippo for another GB I figured it was only natural to keep the flame thang going, here’s my entry for this build session, an M132 flame thrower unit ca. 1970, SVN, 11 ACR . . .
Hopefully this will go a little faster than the last build, still need a set of indy tracks.

Well I started today and want to be finished with the interior tomorrow.
This is where I left off today.
So, questions have arisen.
- Floor color? Photos show many choices. (IDF vehicle) Suggestions?
- It is hard to find matches for the Academy interior. However it seems to be a vietnam vintage interior with central seating. What would be the rear hatch interior color? I have seen many options also.
AHHQ 1/16th M113 is hitting the European distributor sometime next week allegedly so by the week after I may have something to play with and join in. I’ve already got the Jason studios accessories and a few extras, the AFV Modeller M60’s, tracks and smoke grenades ordered and on their way so I may get a progress post before I get the actual kit.

Moving more slowly than I want but moving none the less. Got some paint on the interior today.
I think The diamond plate floor where the infantry sits will be dark aluminum.
Yes, those were bare metal. And in between on the flooring was a black rubber gasket to reduce the amount of crud that would get underneath. The washers and bolts were different metal from the aluminum floor plates.
Hi Lukas,
Which tracks did you order? I will participate in the campaign with a Tamiya M-106A1 kit and I will also need a/m tracks, so I ordered the AFV Club’s set. The 3D printed, resin or Friul metal ones are way to expensive in my opinion.
Tamas
Hi Tamas,
yes, I ordered the AFV Club tracks. They arrived yesterday and I’m thus far pleased with their quality.
Best regards
Lukas
My entry photo has been taken today.
The build will kick off after receiving the AFV Club tracks as I prefer to work on the hull after the entire suspension, wheels and tracks are completed.
Although I have several M113 variants, I opted this one as the same kit was my first ever Tamiya kit built back in 1992 when the Tamiya model shop opened in Budapest, Hungary. I loved this kit very much and enjoyed the build process. That kit is lost during several moves so it will be also a memorial build in this campaign.

so was the M106 in your stash or did you buy it recently and if do, where?
It was in my stash. Bought second hand about two years ago or so on ebay.
Immediately after that I bought the Eduard PE sets and Aber M2 Browning detail-up set. Interestingly the Eduard M106 interior and exterior sets are on the market.
Hello, I have a YPR765 in the stash but I don’t know if it is an acceptable model as the YPR765 is not really a variant or a version of the M113 but a derivative of the M113.
Sorry, no, it’s got to be an M113 base.
Ok, thank you.
At long last I can join in and not just watch.
Arrived fresh off the parcelforce van. Probably lots of questions for the guys that know as I progress I’m sure.
All I have decided so far is it will be a Vietnam build, it will be ACAV but whixch variation I can’t say till I get a feel for what I want. I have some Jason studios stuff and have some AFV Modeller stuff on the way with more to follow I’m sure. Clippers at the ready!
