I’m starting three projects at once. Why three? One will be quite challenging. This one is to keep me calm whilst working on the challenging one. The third is because I’ve almost finished the vehicle, but the diorama and figures still need work.
Project number one – M1152 SECM. The base is the Academy M1151. I’m also converting the Liam and using
I’ve been on a little hmmwv kick lately so I’ll be following along on these builds you got going.
I am looking forward to it.
What a fantastic surprise today. A photo taken in Warsaw. As you can see, the Polish Army also has these versions of the vehicle. The inspiration just came to me.
Is this a maintenance vehicle?
Seems to be…I can see it making for a nice sUAS and sUGV drone carrier if the US Army removes the toolboxes inside. Or keep the toolboxes for drone spare and repair parts.
Photos from Pinterest…
This is what the Army calls a contact truck when we signed for ours it was filled with all new snap on tools and the nomenclature is an M1152.
The the slide up sides, I thought it might be a gut truck. ![]()
Dang, “gut truck”, haven’t heard that term in decades!
Always a welcome sight at the motor pool
I think that it would make for an ideal “Drone Carrier Truck” where the rear doors can house sUGVs that roll down ramps and the rear can house sUASs. The tool cabinets and boxes can house drone repair and spare parts.
When I saw the roll up sides-I thought “tactical gut truck”.
As I mentioned at the start, this is intended to be a relaxed build. No modifications to the silencer, the underbody panels, additional armour plating, etc.
Is that another term for muffler(exhaust) or something else?
Yes, depending on where you’re from. In fact, lawn mower mufflers make excellent, no, that’s for another forum…
That’s funny! Yes – it’s the exhaust, not the silencer on the gun
Second post within five minutes where I can say this: Ask our friends in Great Britain.
