I noticed on hlj that I Love Kit has a kit of the vehicle in the title block due for release in August. I’m aware RFM also do a kit of this JLTV. Not familiar with ILK products but the price isn’t too bad - worth getting or would I be better off going for the RFM kit?

My impression is that either kit is probably fine. RFM and Meng have been my favorite makers for a few years now and put out some really detailed kits. ILK is a Trumpeter brand (no idea why they need multiple channels) and I’ve enjoyed their kits so far. I think your decision (absent any reviews of the ILK kit) might come down to availability and cost.
