There seem to be few or no examples of anyone in M47 French figures available anywhere. Which us ironic because they were enough people wearing them during the later part of the Indochina War and by both sides during the Algerian War, not well known in the USA but I did hear it was a big subject in Europe at the time.
You can use US style field jackets. If you can find Modèle 51/56 tank helmets, that which featured a prominent leather brow pad and built-in radio headphones, great. If not, US-supplied M1938 tanker helmets will work for certai eras.

These liners could be used with the Modèle 51 TTA helmet

I think Blast models has some French figure sets wearing that uniform or at least the helmet. ADV/Azimut also but they’re out of business I think.
You mean this set ?
The pictured helmets/liners appear to have a cut-out over the ears ![]()
EDIT : found it !
It’s the Modèle 65 liner used from 1968 to the 80’s

Yes they make several sets I’m not sure which ones are the older uniforms and helmet types.
Great! I’d be in clover if full figures (for infantry) were available.
I used a set like that with the boom mike and commo thing on their chest but had to carve off those pieces because I was modeling an AMX-13/24 from Algeria and they didn’t have them at the time. I don’t think the helmets with the curved ear portion were used then either but I went ahead with it anyway.
Tom, I don’t know if you like to convert figures but Dragon makes a few sets of late war US troops with field jackets that are pretty close to the French one. You could try that I suppose.
Heller made a combo set - an APC and I believe it was the 155 SPG. That set came with several infantry figures. I gave them to someone a few years ago or they’d be yours.
