Evening all, as there has been interest in building open bed and cab versions of this I was wondering if any of the 3d modellers might consider doing a detail set. My thoughts were for the bed wall detail, the crane and canvas supports for the bed and cab and any other details you might think of. Just bringing it up for discussion. Wayne

I highly doubt a 3D CAD modeler will touch the subject unless someone provides an ample amount of data - many high definition reference photos and necessary dimensions. No data, no model.

Yeah, just wishful thinking. Too bad they didn’t bother to do the inner bed detail at least. Also the Chapparal version had the top bows, so that would have been an easy add.Wayne

I’ve got AFV Club’s M728CEV in the stash and I was thinking of parking it next to the M548 as an early ODS pairing.
Wonder how detailed that kit will be?
I hear what you say about the Chaparral btw. I’ve got the hoops hanging off the front end of the wagon.

I think an all-new injection kit will be better. Question is who will make one? Obviously, AFV Club lost the mojo after their other M113 versions.

Possibly photo etch panels would work for the bed detail. Wayne
