Tracks are next, then just wait for the turret basket.
What you really need is for an AM company to do a resin basket already loaded with kit as a solid lump, so it’s not a fragile empty frame! They are the worst part of building Cold War tanks!
Your hull looks great!
An example of what can be done:
IDF Maga’ch 6B Gal Conversion Set
Thats good but needs ropes or bungee cords over the tarp (and its a bit sloppy).
The tracks are on, weathering will be done when I finish the turret. I noticed the road wheels that are floating, so I might make a small diorama for it to sit on.
I also got bored and added the wire to the arty simulator.
Yes, but without having to buy a whole turret…
I’ve always wondered where that cable connects; so it goes through the actual gun tube part of the mantlet cover then?
I went through a bunch of pictures on line of M60s during the annual REFORGER exercise, and one picture showed it coming through like this, it was the only one I could see clearly.
Right; thanks for that, should I ever wish to display similar.
Home stretch!
Finish the black on the turret, paint the MG, add the bit of stowage then gloss coat and weather.
I’m gonna try using for the first time, pigment powder for some mud on the tank.
Looks great so far. Great job.
Now we’re talking!
Looks excellent AJ
Great work; it epitomises the Cold War - well, at least for me. People forget (and indeed, they should they remember - they were just getting on with their daily lives) about these massive exercise, and the import and scale of them.
Nice model anyway; what’s next? More Cold War?
I’ve been seriously considering the Takom M247 Sgt York.
