I am planning to tackle a 1/72-scale M8 Armoured Car, with the intention of incorporating it in an Ardennes diorama. The idea is to treat it to a slightly worn whitewash over the olive drab paintwork.
A few questions:
Given that air-recognition panels tended to be used only when there was friendly air-supremacy, would it be appropriate in this scenario? Or would this nullify the effect of the white camo?
I have recently read that these vehicles were fitted with a pair of very long antennas (apparently extending to 15 feet each, and comprising a series of 3 foot rods). Is this correct? Presumably, the antennas would be painted in the vehicle’s body colour.
Thanks,
Paul
