They are corsar rex and think they were inspired by the 1943 war/ propaganda movie The Front.

All your careful work with the PE really paid off once a coat of paint is on.

Trumpeter’s 1/35 ASU-57 airborne tankette.

I finished ASU-57 Tankette.

Height comparison.

Pros. Easy to build, but bending the PE parts is little bit of tricky, but it is ok.

Cons. lack of engine and manual gear shift box, lacks crew compartment interior detail. For example, The SGM machine gun was stored in the crew compartment, intended for use by the crew in combat after dismounting from the tank.

And 57mm shells are all BR-271P HVAP rounds.(so greedy! For more information, HVAP round is expensive round.)not a single HE or APHE rounds have.

Conclusion - So so. 6.5/10

A very good model.

What a whacky little thing….. I love it! Compressed mobility and firepower.

It has a different gunbarrel than on the Czech picture. Is this a later model? Or a different gun alltogether?

And isn’t it Hobby Boss instead of Trumpeter?

Ahh thank you. It is hobbyboss. But Trumpeter owned that company, so it is same.

By the way. The gun barrel had replaced a new one in 1953 production model. It was called Ch-51M(Ч-51М).

What a great little machine you have there- it may be small but you have put plenty of detail into it! I think it is a good choice to include the AK and to put a figure beside it so the viewer can appreciate the dimensions of it.

Hello folks.

I wasn’t planing on taking part in this GB but due to work commitments I’ve hardly been able to use the bench this year. This has resulted in my inability to make anything for the GBs I enrolled in the beginning of the year. All this changed when I got a spot of vacation days and I decided to finish at least one GB this year. So without any further delay, here’s my entry for this GB

I’ll be making a MiG-21FL of the Indian Air Force. Since the FL was like an in between version of the PF & PFM, I’ll be needing bits of both the kits. It’s 85% a PF with the spine, vertical fin, exhaust cone and the ventral fin of the PFM. The donor PFM kit is a overtree set from Eduard.

^^Changes required to the PF to make it a FL. Copyright to the original author. I found it online.

^^ I did a quick dry fit of the major components. I hope to make more progress in the next few days.

Thanks for looking. Cheers :clinking_beer_mugs:

A cute lil feller! That logo on the side is a knockout, worth the build on its own.

I like your interest in doing an in between model, something just a bit different.

My Mig-21 has the base coat on - an aluminum coat. Next is some detail painting before the markings are going on.

More to follow soon :slightly_smiling_face:

Yes, it still looks futuristic. Are any of these still in service somewhere?

Thanks for the comments, guys :+1:t2:

I think Libyan forces refurbished a few, but not entirely sure.

Other than that I do not think they are in service anywhere anymore.

That’s a smooth finish. Which paint did you use?

Dunno how old these pictures are, but it looks like the new Free Lybian Air Force does fly some refurbished MiG-21UMs

In comparisson to this one; all they did was paint the new roundels over the old all-green ones.
