It wasnât that I found them difficult to assemble, just very (or: overly) tedious. They were certainly better than RFMâs Panther tracks, let alone Bronco Sherman tracks.
Get a set of AFV Club ones, they are much easier to build: all you have to do is slide the end connectors on. Sure, the central connector with the guide tooth will not sit quite right where the track curves around the drive sprocket and idler, but you have to look very closely to notice that.

IRL, the US Army adopted the M247 in the early 1980s and within a year or so, was made to get rid of them again. The only ways to paint the model as a vehicle that really did exist are as a prototype or in American MERDC camouflage, but I didnât feel like that so I made the kit into a âwhat if it wasnât such a flop and Israel also got themâ model.
