Meng M1A2 TUSK II

First the backstory of how I came by the kit. Earlier this year or late last year my wife bid on an auction for me. Pictured was an Aztec AB and a plastic shoe box filled with paint. At pickup turns out there were 5-7 plastic shoe boxes filled with paint. Guy was a model RR so lots of Floquil RR colors. Also a fair amount of MM acrylics and Polly S and Polly Scale.

I don’t use Floquil but knew that Wade did so I asked him what colors. He sent me a list and turned out I had several bottles of some of the colors he wanted. Sent them to him. Couple of weeks later this kit shows up. Totally unexpected. Just goes to show how great you guys are. See this kind of thing all the time on this site. Giving without any expectation of getting something in return and often getting something in return. Thanks again Wade.

Kit is OOB except for the stowage. Comes with the parts for TUSK I as well. Indy multi piece tracks. Not real happy with how they came out. A bit saggy but removing a link really pulled up the front and rear road wheels. Weathering is restrained and doesn’t really show well in the photos. Thanks for looking.

You went full TUSK II on your build. I did mine with just the ERA bricks on the side skirts and without the “roof tile” plates.

But you did a far better build than me. Kudos. :+1:

Yeah. Never did a TUSK II. Not sure I like it as much as the block ERA. Something different I guess.

DV the M1A2 Tusk II looks fantastic!

My favorite is the glacis picture and rear of the turret rack. Great looking gear as well!

I definitely appreciate the Floquil R&R!
