Thanks Mike ![]()
Added some cables to the droid sensor. They are close enough for me to add a bit of visual interest…
Will paint them black with one having thin red bands round it or possibly one being completely dark blue with artistic licence…
Thanks Nikos for the images to work from ![]()
That is looking awesome with the paint on it- you really have done an outstanding job with the anti-slip. Droid wiring is a nice touch as well.
Looks great!!
Thanks Kark & Bert, very kind guys ![]()
Some detail painting to get me started…
The droid sensor
Decided on flat black for all the cables.
Also did the rubber dust screens on the skirts and mudguards
And the smoke grenade dischargers
Looking phenomenal John.
Thanks Matt, always appreciated buddy ![]()
Nice base for an extensive weathering in the IDF way. ![]()
Olivier
There is definitely going to be some pigments thrown on !! ![]()
Yes please and in any order … may as well go from left to right ![]()
You are building a Merkava. In Israel they read right to left. Hard call.
Nope, always was and always will be redheads for me.
Not fussy, looky a good one found me.
Made a start on the mine roller.
I pre painted the major parts on the sprue as I didn’t want to miss any areas that are hidden away when it’s all assembled
Roller arms have full movement still.
First batch of 5 rollers made up.
These now get assembled as a complete unit of 5 rollers which will form up into one side.
The left and right mine arm units are not built up …
All the arms have full movement and the upper mounts go up and down.
Not sure on the chain colour for these, base colour or a metallic metal tone ?
Will paint each assembly with a fresh top coat to cover the areas that were paint free while on the sprue.
Wow John that’s a lot of moving parts. You are doing such a splendid job on this tank, it’s going to turn out to be a real gem.
Don’t know how I missed this. Cracking build.![]()
