Metal paint and good brushes

I have to do some really fine chipping with silver paint to my model but do not want to wreck my expensive, good chipping brush. Should I get a different brush or will the paint do minimal to no damage to my good brush?

I set a goal for myself to really take care of my brushes and really do not want to destroy them.

Yes I would recommend a totally different brush for any metal paint. I have a separate set of brushes for metal paints- even very thorough cleaning can leave some of the metal pigment on the bristles and that’s the last thing I want to contaminate a nice skin tone or a dull camouflage color. I would also suggest using separate water too- for the same reason.

Regardless of the brush you use, I would think twice before painting chips with silver, any metallic tone usually looks too shiny and unrealistic.

The look it gives is exactly what I am looking for.
