A definite classic, but unfortunately wrong era. Maybe a Germanized version of Whistler’s Mother or American Gothic.

With the Mona Lisa and Girl with a Pearl Earring in the selection, surely this set is Goering’s sitting room? 
The books in the bookcase appear to be separate so they can be scattered around to depict a bomb damaged or looted interior.
