I have some photos of M3A3 Bradleys and M1A2 Sep V2 Abrams tanks
fitted with what are referred to as ‘C200-1-X’ antennas. Two questions:
(1) What is the function of these rigid antennas?
(2) Are they a standard length?
Thanks,
Paul

They are rugged VHF antennas in the 30 – 88 MHz range used for SINCGARS and Harris radios. The smaller (upper) part is 1.5" diameter, and the larger (lower) part is 3" diameter. They are a standard length of 8’ overall; each section being 4’ long.
HeavyArty,
Thanks for that info … most helpful!
