The “Das Dupree” crew trained up a lady truck driver willing to fill in as a loader during this exercise in Germany.

That seems strange given the time period (2014) but more power to her if she can slug those rounds.

As for the Def figure, it says this figure works for both Army and Marine tanker. Is that true, something seems off to make it work for a Marine tanker?

Pfc. Terrianna Martin, a tank mechanic with Company D, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. Here she is (along with Dupree) in the AirSource youtube video during the Live Fire in Germany 2014. In the other photos above she is second from the right leaning on the tank.

I agree with Capt. Flanagan “Whether it’s a loader, a gunner, a driver or a commander, including myself, if you can’t get through [GST] safely then it means you’re unsafe on the tank.”

There was point that females where not cleared for combat arms MOSs. I thought female tankers for the Army was a little later (2016ish) and I know that was the case for Marines (2018ish) before doing away with whole MOS. That’s what I mean by strange not that is didn’t happen.

US Army and all of DoD officially announced that all MOSs were open to women in Dec '15. However, the US Army had been experimenting w/it for many years. When I was an Artillery Battery Commander in '01-'03, I had a female PL. She was officially assigned to DIVARTY HQ (Brigade level) and not me, but she was one of my PLs. She did a great job too. There were quite a few female officers sprinkled throughout the Bn, but assigned to DIVARTY to avoid the combat arms restriction.
