Not sure where they got the uniform and gear reference but these are ALL over the place and dont conform to any historical reference.
The second photo looks more like MACV SOG dressed as NVA, but still wrong…and a flat top AR based rifle… they look nothing like Viet Cong, sort of like main force NVA but not really and many levels of wrong. No excuse really

Interesting figures, but if I had sighted this group 56 years ago, my assessment would have been “probable NVA Regulars”. Most actual VC we ran into were not this well equipped.
