Playing around with a couple 1/48 Airfix P-51s. One is a Mustang Mk IV, 3 Sqn. RAAF. Kit has US 500 pound GP bombs. Would they have used Brit 500 pounders too? Or were there compatibility issues between US racks/ UK bombs? A logistics issue? Also, 108 Gal. paper tanks. Photos I’ve seen have been on UK based birds. Were they used in the MTO?
