My 3D Matilda1 tank

Hi everyone. I just wanted to introduce myself here, I haven’t found a 3D printing board that suits me and you all seem like a nice bunch of guys, and maybe gals? I’m Steve and live in South Africa. I have been 3D designing for decades but still have a lot to learn about it, here is a small sample of one of my designs which is the A11 Matilda1 tank just for your interest. I see that I can only upload five images at a time otherwise I would have added more.

Regards Steve

Hello Stephen, welcome on board!

Absolutely amazing job, have you printed it as well?

The 5 photos limit is because you have just created your account, in a few days reading and posting it will be gone and you can post as many as you need.

Looking forward to seeing more of your works!

Thanks for the kind words, I’ll post what I’ve printed so far when the limit expires.

All the best.

I’m close to Johannesburg, sort of the middle of the country.

Spent a few days in Jo-Burg as we headed east to Piet Retief (eMkhondo) next to Swaziland for a few weeks. That area geography is not to dissimilar to North Carolina piedmont area near me. You wake up from a nap you might wonder where you are for a minute. The burnt shoulders let’s you know your not in Carolina anymore.

Welcome here Stephen. I’ve seen your name on other boards in the past. You should enjoy it here. Lots of nice, knowledgeable folks. Outstanding renders of the Matilda I, is it a kit?

Is the sun worse here?

Oh, I didn’t know I’ve been here? Well not really a problem and thanks. It’s not a kit yet but I’ll see in the future how it goes.

It was “winter time” so it was fine to me. It’s was over a 100d when I left here and just snowed when we landed in Jo-burg. I enjoyed the cooler weather.

This is the most amazing 3D print yet I’ve seen of the Matilda I in 1/35 with an engine no less. Is this available to print or pre-printed for sale? Super job, thanks for sharing!

Thank you, it’s a work in progress and ultimately I hope to market it yes.

Stephen, you called me a ‘moron’ on FB and my Semovente gun CAD rubbish because I priced it at 4 USD on cults3D and I wasn’t giving it out for free. I hope you do not disrespect people on this forum like that. Such an attitude is not welcomed in any forum.

I don’t remember that but if I did then I do apologise. I think a lot of designs could be for free and I’m thinking from my countries currency. If you can’t let it go I will leave though.

Apology accepted. Stephen. I hope such an offensive, unnecessary exchange does not occur again. Just to refresh your memory, it happened on June 10, 2024.

Right after the 2nd comment below, a subsequent comment of 'You’re a moron and your design is $hitt^ was deleted.
