New brand to me, Shrinkray, doing 1/35 logging trucks

Type A

And C

Very original, and not something I’d expect in 1/35

Never heard of them either, and they look like quite detailed models. As you say, original and unexpected.

I also saw the news on Shanma Model FB page…

We have been following Shanma Model on Armorama, I guess Shrinkray is their sister company?

These look great, as good as the Shanma mine rollers.

But note that 1/35 logging truck conversions for Soviet trucks have been done before by Panzershop, so not a new concept. Not readily available anymore of course so these new editions are welcome.

Hello,
our kit is produced using high-precision red-brown wax 3D printing, and the quality of conventional resin kits is simply not comparable to ours.

We have spent nearly one year developing this project, investing a significant amount of time in historical research and verification.
Our aim is to deliver a kit with the highest level of accuracy, excellent detail quality, and a superior assembly experience.

Having seen some of the Panzershop’s resin kits, I would gladly replace them with more user-friendly kits… I’ll be waiting to see some reviews of Shrinkray stuff, but I would venture saying those are a superior option than Panzershop.

I did not suggest in any way that these would not be better or more detailed and as I noted, these are most welcome and will invariably have more detail given the possibilities with 3D printing. My post was simply a response to Kylie’s comment:

“Very original, and not something I’d expect in 1/35”.

Having said that, like most 3D printed items these days, it does come at a cost compared to many of the older resin kits. I welcome it given the detail possible, but for many it can become cost prohibitive. I think the ShanMa minerollers are very well priced for what is in the box based on the photos - I’m just waiting on the M1 plow to order all 3 and really look forward to the IDF Puma Dozer Blade. HobbyEasy already has these ShrinkRay kits posted (along with the ShanMa rollers, which are essentially the same price as seen on ShanMa’s site) and based on their prices these logging trucks do seem a bit costly unless the entire kit is included in the price (logging parts, wheels, rear deck, trailer). Based on the FB post only the crane is included - the rear deck, tires, trailer and base plastic kit (which in the photos are Trumpeter and HobbyBoss) are not.

Again, for me personally cost is not the primary consideration, but if you still need to buy resin wheels, the base plastic kit, the rear deck and trailer etc., these end up easily being $150+ investments.

We understand, and first of all, we sincerely appreciate your support for ShanMaModel.
We truly believe that our kit will not disappoint you.

We are not trying to criticize your opinion in any way.
However, for us, this forestry truck project represents a significant investment of time and effort, and we have put a great deal of care into its development.

We genuinely hope that more modelers will have the opportunity to purchase and experience the unique appeal of this kit.

Regarding pricing, we would really value your opinion:
– If only the crane arm were offered, what price do you feel would be reasonable?
– And for the complete set, including the trailer, wheels, and other accessories, what price range do you consider fair and would personally be willing to purchase?

These look great! However, coming from China I wonder about shipping and Tariff costs to the US. That could be a deal breaker.

the shipping cost will be 10USD

I agree. I have one of the Pannzershop kits and it ended up as a shelf queen. I would love to replace in by a more accurate and buildable (3D) kit.

@allen_Shanmamodel when I follow the link to you ShanmaModel website, I cannot find thee kits and the wheelsets. I would be very interested in the prices etc of the kits and wheels.

Thanks in advance.

As per my post above, Hobbyeasy already has these kits up for pre-order, and based on the pricing comparison of the Shanma mine rollers, the pricing should be close to what you will find when the kits get posted on Shanma’s site.
