As I expected, and as noted in the comments on Slypi’s FB page by Peter himself, the price is anticipated to be 150-170 Euro.
I’m sure it could be, but the limited interest is not conducive to large sales. At least with the D9 you had a couple options (IDF and US), but this one is a bit more limited. Then again, we have seen some pretty esoteric products released as plastic kits, so who knows.
The resin casting does look good, Slypi’s is starting to do more 3D printing so perhaps some of it will be done that way as well. Slypi’s 3D printed weapons sets are quite exquisite and pretty innovative in how they are printed (like an injection molded sprue which helps protect the delicate printings).
I am not sure what you wants to say. I only thing it will get costly. Because the thing is hughe…
I wanted to scratch build one for years….

Current news about the excavator:
The production of the resin parts has started. The etching is done, I would like to laser mark the windows on the green film. Some of the finer parts will be 3D printed in the kit. I should finish the assembly drawing this week.
The bad news is that I underestimated the price with the preliminary calculation, the resin parts turned out to be more than I thought, the expected price will be 180€.
It will be available in early March!
180 € seem a fair price for such a monster.
The parts layout seems well thought out , especially the 3D printed part “sprues”.
buy now or buy later? i missed it for my birthday this year, maybe my wife would like it for her’s?
I completely missed this post.
Recently I was looking at some pictures and noticed both this excavator and the armoured wheel loader and was thinking how nice it would be if these would be released as a kit !
