I think the point here is that if it’s such an easy fix, it would be just as easy to offer the correct cans in the first place.

Exactly Rob.
I build the trailer from scratch a few years ago, so no need for this. But I would be interested in a review of the Avenger conversion.
If/when I get it, I’ll let you know.
Thanks Gino.
I get the next days ICM´s cargo carrier HMMWV. Let´s see how good it is.
I built their initial M1097A2 kit and think it is pretty nice.
I have started on another vehicle that has been on my build list for quite some time. It is an O/C (Observer/Controller) M998 HMMWV from the NTC (National Training Center), Ft Irwin, CA. I was an O/C there for three years (Aug '03 - Jul '06). At least two weeks out of every month we were in the field training rotational units on counter-insurgency in a desert environment . For those two weeks, this was my home. It was a basic M998 HMMWV with no windows, no doors, and only a cloth tarp over …
That looks very nice. However…

The rear wall is correct for the M1065A1 B3 Uparmored version (more side and rear armor and thicker doors w/sliding windows, etc.) he is depicting. The one you show is a lightly armored top that only provides as much protection as a standard M1025 (same “X” fiberglass doors too).

i Actually already have a set fom one of our very own here on the forums. Galactica who had a shop on shapeways under prymiade models has a set for the M-1165 which I think has finer deatil. I already started the assembly of this set and when I get a chance I’ll post some photos. His sets are available at the link below…

took a couple quiick pics of the new rear shell from Prymiade…also i got his side armor set for the same vehicle and the parts to convert the armored doors
Where can I buy this
I have been waiting for this for a very long time. Being a maintainer, the kit makers seem to like to ignore a lot of the modern US maintenance subjects.
I recently found a file for one on Cults3D. It has to be resized, but easy to do. I printed one up and it looks good.
This is a 1/72 HMWWV conversion enabling turning regular Dragon M998 into Shop Equipment, Contact Maintenance (SECM) version. Designed for Dragon kits. Vehicle not included. Comes with rear bumper.
It looks to be a different version with two separate roll-doors on each side as opposed to one big one like the above Liam offering has.
3D file type.
Liam type.
It would be cool to do the sides rolled up and show off the interior tool racks, tools, etc…
The Liam one is correct for the lower (in height) contact truck body in the 1151/1152 chassis. and the one with the double doors is on the 1097 chassis and has a taller height.
you beat me to the same info
Good to know. I did notice the 3D one being taller. I did plan on putting it on an M1097 as well, so all is good.
