So I saw a news item that a top DoD official is promoting dog fighting. I thought maybe this is some air to air policy change. Am I ever disgusted and disappointed:
5 yrs if convicted is not a enough.
I’m a big fan of making the punishment fit the crime. Put him in the pen with all the starved agitated vicious dogs.
Between this and much of the other idiocy going on lately I’m surprised we still have a military.
Agree, but it’s more than anyone would get here.
It would be a slapped wrist, pittance of a fine and ban on keeping a dog for a year. Which is never enforced or checked.
I’m all for tying them a chair and unleashing a rampant wildebeest.
The same goes for Africans poaching pangolins because the Chinese and Vietnamese think the ground up scales are an acne cure. Skin the culprits alive and send it to the medicine men.
Fines and light sentences clearly don’t work. Gloves need to come off.
Sorry if that’s gone off topic a bit, but this sort of thing really does make my blood boil a bit.
When I was really young I used to daydream about being a vigilante who traveled the globe killing poachers and human traffickers.
As our systems of laws continues to atrophy into unaccountability and apathy, I think that’s what the world is heading towards. That is if they’re still enough people who care.
I read that news article yesterday and I was upset. Dog fights and then the loser gets eliminated via electricity. I have two dogs of my own and they are like children to me because they give back way more than they receive from me or us as whole. No matter what is happening they are always giving back love.
This guy needs the electric treatment as well to zip the dead cells out off his head that are causing the rest of the his mind/body/soul from doing anything good.
You too huh?
When killing a “bad guy” only results in a fine and a slap on the wrist the bad guys would soon become extinct.
Maybe the old meaning of outlaw should be reinstated:
" An outlaw, in its original and legal meaning, is a person declared as outside the protection of the law. In pre-modern societies, all legal protection was withdrawn from the criminal, so anyone was legally empowered to persecute or kill them. Outlawry was thus one of the harshest penalties in the legal system. In early Germanic law, the death penalty is conspicuously absent, and outlawing is the most extreme punishment, presumably amounting to a death sentence in practice. The concept is known from Roman law, as the status of homo sacer, and persisted throughout the Middle Ages."
One electrode to the tongue and one to “wicked willy” …
Sad thing is some of them might be into that.
Oh dear,
oh deary deary me,
what is the world coming too …
The end times they are a’coming …
this happens when someone thinks they are above the law!
People like him in positions of leadership make me want to learn to speak Chinese.
Pretty sure he speaks Chinese.
Or his bosses do.
And strip him naked and pour gravy all over him just before throwing him into the pen.
I recently took in a kitten that was so young it needed hand rearing that had been rescued from dog baiting group.
Bravo!
