NEWS: Hobby Link 1/35 AN/GRC-122 Radio-Teletype Shelter

Another nice little conversion piece for the Dodge M37 Vietnam era . . .

Nguyen Khang at Hobby Link seems to be studying the same research material as myself, he keeps coming up with those unusual vehicles that I can’t live without for my Nam era modeling project, Sheese, I’ll be filing bankruptcy before I can get them all.

Ooooooh, now he just needs to design shelters for the AN/TRQ-32V2 TeamMate and the AN/MLQ-34 TacJam system (based on the M548 ammo carrier chassis)

The basic shelters look pretty much the same. It looks like you would just have to add type-specific antennas and a few other bits and bobs to make the other versions.

Reminds me of this excellent build:

Which replicates (more or less) the first US Army vehicle I ever set eyes on back in, say, around 1972 on a 1st (British) Corps exercise.

The MASSTER scheme blew me away.

We used to have those shelters mounted on Dodge trucks, M880 IIRC.

Ours were M1008s and M1028s based on Chevy pickups…which explains why I still love them! But don’t tell my Jeep Gladiator!

Ooh! Commo shack in the field. How many of us we there to hide for a
Little bit taking advantage of the A/C unit inside (meant to keep the radio equipment cool).
