Many model projects can increase in cost by adding photo etch, aftermarket tracks/wheels, turned metal barrels (when applicable), figures, packing, cargo, head light inserts.
Many other kits also “need” resin wheels …

There are so many cool PLS variants. My interest began, when I saw Ginos (@HeavyArty) M1074 project coming along. Then I was sold. Such an interesting project, but over my skill level.

what is that on the end of the tounge for the trailer I’ve never seen that before

I saw it too, but have never seen it in reality. Not sure, but it looks like some type of extension that can articulate as it turns too. It also looks easy to leave off.

Drawbar extension when transporting combat bridge parts?
Big bridge parts overhang the trailer and would interfere with
the rear end of the towing vehicle, or the other way around?
Drawbar lengths:
Pages 114 to 116 describe how the extension is installed with safety chains
from the regular drawbar to the extension. The extrension seems to have its
its own safety chains to secure it to the towing vehicle.

My first thought was it allows for more maneuverability in restricted terrainm which turns out to be one benefit.
The main purpose is to provide the geometric clearance to facilitate direct loading of the flatrack from the ttrailer to the PLS.
