Unfortunately that Linebacker launcher was woefully misproportioned, as its measurements were apparently given to him that someone obtained from a kit. Steve has since redesigned it using the proper measurements, if anyone is interested.

Its front should also be rectangular rather than square.

The kit is due out this month, $40US, at hobbyeasy.com. happy days

Where can one find the conversion? The M6A2 was on my list of conversions to get around to making, but not if there is already a good one out there.

what is the CVTESS?

Combat Vehicle Tactical Engagement Simulation System

A laser based training device produced by Saab. I wonder if there’s a tariff?

so a Modern version of MILES?

It’s the latest version with more bells and whistles. However, it can be integrated with other systems to provide real time data on manuever elements in a training environment.

Is that Bradley painted painted like the SEP V.3 of the 3rd ID with NATO green upper surfaces and that Brownish OD on the sides or is it that overall brownish OD?

I think the vehicle is overall painted Brownish OD. Didn’t see any CARC Green spots on those images.

that will look good next to my SEP V.3 when i get it built

Possible. Looking at the armor plates at the left rear I’m inclined to think it’s overall green and just dusted up very nicely. I could be wrong, but every new vehicle, including Marine Corps vehicles like the ACV, that I’ve seen at every facility in the past year, are now just overall green. Except of course the SEP V.3 that I posted photos of a few years ago with the two tone.

Probably. Maybe it’s just something specific to that unit.

I’m just going off what i see on the web. I don’t have access to actual vehicles down here in Arizona.

I downloaded the images and zoomed them in they are defiantly that brownish OD look at the unit marking of the rear boxes if they were CARC green those black markings would be covered in dust and look about the markings you see a patch of CARC green that looks like something is painted over

Kylie-
The M2A3 I’ve seen on Fort Benning appear to have the same Bronze Green as the Stryker family monochrome factory paint.

If there is a tariff it might cut both ways if SAAB imports tariffed components from the US, assembles the product and ships it back to the US.
I wonder how the tariffs will be calculated in that case? Whole value minus the value of components imported from the US. Those imported components may themselves contain parts from China, Taiwan, Mexico or some other place.

The modern (U.S.) Army somewhat mystifies me, if I understand the explanations listed above, this AFV, or the equipment upgrade at least, is simply for training purposes and not necessarily combat improvements. Would this be an important addition to the model collector? My first impression of the ‘Tank’ was, “this is Bad Ass looking”, but if it’s only training aid additions it seems a little inconsequential. Somebody set me straight.

The 3D printed parts are added to depict a Bradley in training using the CVTESS “Laser Tag - like” system. The CVTESS can be added to any vehicle for training. To me, having “been there done that”, I am interested in depicting it with some soldiers wearing MILES gear to represent a Brad at NTC during training. To each their own though.
