Hmmmm what is Udo doing in that Gasthof with that lady ? That’s NOT his wife.

What happens in Berlin stays in Berlin.

That looks amazing. Are they actual figures behind the window or a photo of figures?

I regret not getting to Berlin when I was stationed in Augsburg but the clearance hassles were too much when I had so many great places to go in France, Austria and West Germany anyway. But I specifically remember a gasthaus in Augsburg that served Barenbrau from the city of the Bear; great bier and food too.

I went to both sides on a chaplain’s trip. A great time.

Its his cousin from the countryside.

M70@maybe!

Chepster@-those are figs from a Miniart set.

Loncray@yeah I was in germany 6 years but the same with me back then the Curtain was up and it was too much hassle to go.

Dan@the only Chaplain things I ever did were Chaplains jumps at Bragg in order not to become pay hurt/loss.

Thanks all for commenting and for the usual lurkers,

Chepster, I finally got around to taking a happy snap of the ghostly figures in the window,

G, your figure painting is really superb. It’s the little tonal shifts and small details you find and pick out that really transforms them. Nice inclusion of the coffee being poured.

Agree completely with comments to date, but also the modelling of the period appropriate hair styles is just fantastic!

Thanks Sam. I had to consult the interwebs a lot for 1930s fashion and styles. It was and is a welcome change from WWII British and German uniforms, etc. Helps me keep interested.
