Hello everyone,
I started assembling this Eduard kit:

Following. The -K is one of my favorite Mustangs. The prop looks better than the Hamilton Standard and the whole PR mission is fascinating.
Looking good so far.

How did those vents on the side of the cowling go for you? They were an unexpected headache for me. Both sides.
I must say that I didn’t encounter any particular problems.

Disaster with Eduard decals!
I followed the instructions at “How to apply Eduard decals | 02/2024 | Info EDUARD", and this is the result after I pulled the transparent film off…

What should I do now?
Where can I find replacement decals?

Nice work so far, Rodolfo!
Concerning the decals, I have also pulled off the transfer film from my Spitfire II and Mustang IV when this sort of decals came out first. It worked fine with the big ones like roundels but not so well with smaller ones like codes and enblems. I also noticed that it’s not really neccessary to do that, because the decals lay well on the surface and into the panel lines after a day. So I won’t do it again, the risk of destroying the decals is too big.
Everything fine here …
Surprisingly “Edmonton Special” came out perfect but the “B” was damaged!
You may ask Eduard for a replacement. Their support is willing to help. Just write them an e-mail. On the other hand, do you have some Star and Bar in your left over box?

That’s a real shame. It’s turning out quite excellent.

And fixed it quite well! Glad to see you’re back on track.
Striking paint scheme for sure.
Just a few final touches, such as removing the silvering from the propeller decals, and it’ll be ready for take-off!
