I am extremely fortunate that my work involves days in the field, and in the beautiful Rocky Mountains, no less! Since I don’t know how familiar you folks are with forestry operations, I thought I would share some pictures: a chopper, some machinery—including winch-assisted steep slope logging, a drone we use for inspection, a F350 used by our fire crews, and some logged blocks. Several were taken from the air, so excuse the poor quality and the lack of close-up pictures.
Cheers,
François

Francois those are beautiful pics, you are fortunate to work outdoors and in such a beautiful place. I too work outdoors and love it but don’t have the scenery you have; I could not picture myself working in an office but that’s not the worse thing in the world either as long as it pays the bills — and you like it. The weather does get to me once in a while but not much.

Thank you, Richard! Glad you liked those
My job doesn’t involve mandatory field work, and I’m more of a desktop guy anyways. But from time to time, it’s good to get out when there are things that need to be field-verified. And this landscape… what a treat!
