Moving along , I was working on a new fig but I wasn’t pleased with his eyes , I’m doing my best not to give him those big ole white Marty Feldman google eyes . Alwys looks like they sat on some sex toy .

Trying to get the insides finished before I destroy it . Still a whole lot of surfboards to do . This surf shop is a homage to all the stores over on L.B.I. that decorate their insides with vintage blown up photos , just wish they’ed tone down the insense

Excellence, Glenn, sheer excellence. Your figures are phenomenal. Your construction and detailing are outstanding. It all sets off a very uncomfortable mood.

These are all real surfboard designs from real surfboards that I saved , shrank and printed to put on 1/16th carved basswood . I still want to make tons more , I’ll have a couple in the shop and a fenced in area out back for rental and for sale boards . They’ll be covered in debris etc. I’m going to have the roof partially blown off from old storms .

Nice job and lovely board work! Almost too nice to put into a debris strewn dio!

And we’re still waiting to see the placement of some tins of, or at least a box of, Mr Zog’s wax! Keep on carving!

Beautiful job on the boards, fantastic! Are any finned? For the pedants like me could they have price stickers? And maybe too much, but how about a battered trophy board hung on a wall with a great white chomp out of one side? Too Jawsey?:shark:

Thanks Sam , lol , way ahead of ya man , I’ve got prints of sex wax posters and even an original 1970’s Sex Wax ad . That’s a good thing you asked about Zog , now I won’t have to throw in a splainer about what Sex Wax is .

Tim , thanks man , still gotta take some evergreen and carve some skegs , yeah whatever you would find in a beach surf shop , a friend suggested abandoned flip flops all over the place and yes I was thinking of some subtle Jaws refs to include , maybe a little less obvious mabe not , still haven’t found the right ref I wanna use though .

That’s the Zog man himself . Google the whole Sex Wax story , how it was created etc. good read .

Without a doubt the very first time I’ve seen a surf shop in scale! So cool and original sir.

Not as much progress as I would have liked but it’s just so dam hot I’ve been spending a lot of time out on the ocean , much , much cooler … Some of these photos are duplicate shots using diff camera settings and diff lighting . It’s raining like a bull peeing on a flat rock right now so I should get in some more bench time .

Lovely surf shop-ocalyps work there but jeez it hurts to see such beautiful board work covered up in any way!
